Marissa and Joe love the beach. So to celebrate their engagement, we traveled down to Cape May to photograph them near the Cape May Lighthouse. Cape May is at the southernmost tip of New Jersey, where the Delaware Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean. Known for its Victorian architecture, whale watching and pristine beaches, it was an easy decision to head towards the Cape May Lighthouse for the best shots of Marissa and Joe.

Built in 1859, the Lighthouse is located at Cape May Point State Park. Nearly 80,000 visitors a year climb the 199 lighthouse steps for its picturesque view from the top. At 157.5 inches tall, you get quite the view from up there! We decided to hang low on this day and enjoy the view of the Cape May Lighthouse from the beach.
