The LuRey Workshop – Styled Shoot – Vendors Feature

Formals 16

There are a few things we love just as much as photography.  Teaching photography, watching other photographers realize their potential, serving other photographers…basically, sharing our love affair with our cameras with others.

That’s why our workshops is my favorite time of the year!  Don’t get me wrong….I am always way more nervous than excited, until we get going…then I remember that I actually LOVE talking (which if you know me, you already know that).  This year, Easton took the reigns of planning the workshop because I just had too much on my plate to take that on.  And can I just say…he TOTALLY rocked it.  He is a master event planner.

The amount of work that went into transforming this space into something straight out of a dream was astonishing.  Each vendor played their part in a major way!  Below we list every vendor that contributed their talents.  Make sure to check them out and show them some love for all their hard work.

Kate of Kate Spencer Hairstyling did her thing, and did it well.  Our bride’s gorgeous red hair was transformed into a romantic style, and topped with lovely birdcage veil.  Kate always impresses me.  I mean, duh, she is my hair stylist =P

Christine of Strong Beauty is pretty much the most talented makeup artist in NJ.  Brittany was already a stunning woman, but Christine just made her flawlessly pop!

Brittany, our model, was pretty much flawless.  It has always been my dream to shoot a bride with red hair.  There is just something so timeless about it.  How gorgeous is she?

Brittany’s dress was by Morgia Bridal, a Philadelphia wedding dress designer.  The lace added that romantic touch that completed this look.

Brett, our model groom was such a trooper.  Husbands don’t usually want to get dressed up but this guy showed them all how it’s done.

Isis from POSH Events pretty much made magic happen.  Her vision came to life before my eyes and it was truly something!

Can we just all take a minute and swoon collectively?  ::sigh::

Okay, so this cake and all of the sweets you see were the creation of the amazing cake artist Apron Strings Desserts.  They were nice enough to leave behind the cupcakes from day two and they were just as delicious as they looked.

Like, seriously?!  Magic.  Magic is what A Garden Party is selling.

These gorgeous invites were flawless and perfect in every way!  The Invitation Suite couldn’t have made anything more perfect than these.

All of the lights!  Be still my heart!   DFX hung string lights and they were strewed  from every square inch of the ball room.

This wouldn’t have been possible without the NEW an IMPROVED Woodcrest Country Club and all the people who work there.

A HUGE thank you to every single person behind the scenes that made this day possible.  I am forever floored by the talents that God gives each of us.  When we are generous with them we all benefit.

The amount of talent under one roof was unreal. Besides the 22 extremely talented and driven photographers/videographers, we had a florist & designer team that literally took my breath away, a cake designer who’s sweets looked too good to eat (but were in fact eatable and delicious), a lighting company that transformed a normal ballroom into magic, a stationary artist that rocked it, a venue that catered to us, and a hair & makeup team that worked their magic. I am surrounded by great people who love what they do with every fiber in their body.

……I am in awe. THIS is what happens when you let a creative person create their own vision.

  1. Hello,

My name is Ryan Lawrence and I am an independent event planner in the Philadelphia area. I am pretty new to this and was looking to do a styled shoot to add to my portfolio. I figured it would be a better idea to try and shadow or help out on one with someone who has done these before instead of trying to jump right in and do my own right off the bat. I was wondering if you had any Styled Shoots coming up that you could use an extra hand in helping plan. I would love the opportunity and am willing to do it just for the experience.

I hope to hear from you soon!

    Thanks,

    Ryan Lawrence
